Club restrictions in Berlin will be lifted this Friday

Outdoor dance events of up to 250 people will be allowed from June 18, provided that party attendees can present a recent negative Covid-19 test and wear masks.

In Brandenburg outdoor dance events for up to 1000 people are now allowed without restrictions.

The Prime Minister of the federal state Dietmar Voidke announced this decision at a cabinet meeting yesterday.

Indoor events will require masks and additional testing. Allowed "no more than one guest per ten square meters."

Berlin authorities have also decided to relax a number of other rules, including wearing masks in busy outdoor areas and lifting the ban on drinking alcohol in pubs and restaurants from midnight to 5 a.m.
