Coachella has been postponed from October 2021 to April 2022

The Coachella Music Festival has been postponed from October 2021 to April 2022 due to the coronavirus. Usually the festival is attended by over 125 thousand people.

Last year, the event was postponed three times: first from April to October 2020, and then to April and October 2021. Due to the pandemic, the Stagecoach country festival, which usually takes place after Coachella, will also be postponed.

It is noted that California has stricter anti-coronavirus restrictions than other states. Mass events in other states, Texas and Florida, scheduled for the spring, are due to take place.

Concerts and festivals in the US will resume in late summer, according to a report from entertainment company Live Nation.

In February, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson promised that nightclubs and public events would be allowed on June 21, Live Nation has already sold 170,000 tickets to three major events.

But it is already known that the Glastonbury festival, which was supposed to take place on June 23-27, was canceled.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the United States ranks first in the number of people infected with coronavirus - more than 29.6 million people.

Most cases of infection and deaths were recorded in California: over 3.6 million people became infected, almost 57 thousand died.
