Music venues in the Netherlands are set to reopen in June

More good news comes from different parts of the world, and this time from the Netherlands.

The music venues are due to open on June 5th.

The government is about to move to the third phase of the opening plan, this phase includes permission to reopen venues and concert halls, but with limited capacity and subject to certain rules.

Starting on June 5, small concert halls will be allowed to accommodate no more than 50 people at a time, while concert halls with 1,000 seats can accommodate no more than 250 people.

The same applies to open-air venues such as arenas and open-air theaters.

This rule does not apply to concert halls that use the Covid pass system (requiring people to test negative or be fully vaccinated), as they can pass as many people at the same time as they want if they sit with social distancing.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte stated:

“The summer is not completely normal yet, but a lot more normal than before. All figures are going in the right direction.”
